Our comprehensive Airbnb Cleaning Checklist

Entrance

  • Empty bins

  • Check letter box, forward mail*

  • Spot clean sills around entrance way

  • Check keys

  • Sweep & make free of rubbish & leaves paths & verandah

  • Check/remove any cobwebs around eves & front door

  • Windows/Glass Doors – check for marks & clean

Living Areas

  • Check TVs and remotes

  • Wipe & disinfect coffee tables/TV units

  • Check under the lounge chairs and vacuum

  • Dust window sills and clean windows*

  • Fluff lounge cushions and vac under as needed

  • Wipe & disinfect dining table & chairs

  • Vacuum and/or mop floors

Kitchen

  • Clean in/out/under coffee machine, empty water reserve

  • Empty any ice trays and refill

  • Clean the toaster and de crumb it

  • Throw out any items left in fridge & pantry except supplies

  • Empty/wipe the kettle over

  • Clean fridge & freezer (in/out/wipe the top)*

  • Guest ready grill and oven clean*

  • Clean and disinfect sink, clear drain

  • Clean microwave (in/out/top/inside roof)*

  • Clean cutlery, dinnerware & glasses as needed

  • Clean kitchen tidy bin & replace liner

  • Empty and wipe out dishwasher – clear drain

  • Vacuum and/or mop floors

  • Wipe and disinfect benches, pantry and cupboards

  • Clean crumbs out of cutlery drawers & disinfect

  • Keep pots and pans organised and ensure they are clean

  • Top up supplies – as per Housekept checklist.

Bedrooms

  • Replace sheets, pillowcases and doona cover

  • Check and clean bedside tables & drawers

  • Present towels on bed

  • Check pillows & replace protectors & pillows if required

  • Check window sills are clean

  • Check and change mattress protector if necessary*

  • Check all lights work including overhead and lamps

  • Curtains are on hooks & tied back, blinds all working & neat

  • Check under beds and vacuum

  • Check in wardrobes wipe inside and out

  • Check spare blankets are out

  • Vacuum and/or mop floors

Bathrooms & Laundries

  • Clean and disinfect sinks, benches, vanities & shelves

  • Clean and disinfect toilet inside & out

  • Clean and disinfect toilet brush

  • Remove rubbish and replace bin liner

  • Clean shower and bath tub

  • Refill and present toilet paper (folded like a 5-star hotel)

  • Check washer & dryer (wipe down as needed)

  • Sink and basket cleaned and disinfected

  • Check that host provided cleaning supplies (such as mop, bucket, broom etc) are clean & usable

  • Vacuum and mop floors

  • Top up supplies - as per checklists

Outdoor Areas

  • Stack fireplace (matches and starters) and check firewood, if needed

  • Ensure umbrella and furniture are covered or put away, if required*

  • Clean BBQ and check gas bottles (2x bottles should be present: 1 at BBQ, 1 full spare)

  • Ensure attached deck/entertaining area is clear of rubbish

  • Remove cobwebs – check eves and lighting

  • Dog mess – pick up*

  • Check spas & pools, spotting cleaning droppings if safely available and reporting issues

  • Wipe down outdoor furniture

  • Top up supplies - as per checklists.

Last but Not Least

  • Complete Before and After Photos

  • Complete Consumable Report

  • Stock Consumables

  • Take council rubbish bins out when our cleans coincide with rubbish day

  • Turn off lights and a/c

  • Lock all doors & windows that we have opened

  • Put back key in lockbox

  • Return used/dirty linen

  • Report any damage or issues to you and provide a cleaning report if requested
